Sugar Grove Studio, LLC Policies:

RETURNS:

Returns are accepted within 14 days of confirmed delivery. A refund of the purchase price only will be given. Shipping, insurance and signature confirmation fees will not be refunded. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer and the item must be returned with original receipt and in new, unworn, or unused condition.

COMMISSIONS:

Commissions are welcome. There is an initial $100.00 non-refundable design fee. If, after design and estimate approval, you commission me to make the piece, the design fee is applied to your down payment. A non-refundable down payment of 1/3 of the estimated price is required and the remainder is due upon completion. All designs remain the property of Sugar Grove Studio/Nell Fredericksen. To receive for review a copy of my standard commission contract please email a request.

LAYAWAY:

Items over $500.00 may be put on layaway. There are no hidden charges or interest applied. The seller holds all layaway purchases until the balance is paid in full.  An initial deposit of 10% down on items $500.00 and up is required. The layaway may be cancelled via email, or in writing, with a full refund of deposit, within 15 days of order date. After 15 days, there will be no refund of the Initial deposit. You will be sent Payment Confirmations which will show the total order amount, amount of any payments made and date received, the balance due and the due date of payments remaining. Please keep these confirmations for your records. If for any reason you wish to cancel the layaway after 15 days, a refund will be given for payments made beyond the initial nonrefundable deposit.  Layaway payment plans can be made for 3 months or for varying lengths of time up to a full year.

GUIDELINES FOR CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS WISHING TO SOLICIT DONATIONS:

The charitable organization agrees to enter into a signed agreement/contract that stipulates the following:

  • The charitable organization agrees to split the proceeds from the sale or auction of any donated items 50/50 (50% to Nell Fredericksen and 50% to the organization).
  • Payment must be made to Sugar Grove Studio within 5 business days of the sale.
  • The name, address, phone number and e-mail of the buyer will be provided to Nell Fredericksen for her records.
  • A minimum or reserve price will be set and will be designated by Nell Fredericksen.  This is required to honor the value of the artwork for our existing clients and our representing galleries.
  • In the event the artwork does not sell, it will be returned by the organization to Nell Fredericksen’s studio, Sugar Grove Studio, Ferrum, VA within 10 business days.
  • The charitable organization will take full responsibility for the security of the donated item while in its possession, and agrees to pay Nell Fredericksen/Sugar Grove Studio, LLC 50% of the reserve price set in the case of theft, loss, or damage to the donated piece(s).
